So Much To See Thanks To Accommodation In Norwich

Author: Dominic Donaldson
Once you have arrived in Norwich and you have settling in to you hotel, it is then time to see all the wonders and sights that exist just outside the accommodation. Norwich was the second largest city in England back in the 11th century just behind London, it was also considered to be one of the most important cities in the country. The city boasts population figures of 135,800, although when you compare that to the neighbouring town of Ipswich which boast figures of 128,000 people it does appear that Norwich has quite grown on the same scale as other locations around it.
When you arrive in Norwich you really do need to make the effort to step outside of the pristine confines of the hotel, because if you don't you really won't know what you are missing out on just outside the confines of the accommodation. Norwich is also famous for its football team, which is known to the fans as the Canaries. The team plays in yellow and green and although they experienced tough break in 2009 when they got relegated to the English First Division, they are now well on the way to bouncing back to their best form as they current head up the table and look for a speedy return to the upper echelons of the football hierarchy. If they do manage to get promoted back to the Championship then it will certainly benefit the cities accommodation.
Norwich also has a number of other sporting successes which can be added to its impressive role of honour including a number of successful boxers, and an ice hockey team. But maybe the city doesn't always come in for positive media attention. Much was made out of a certain comedy character named Alan Partridge, who would work for Radio Norwich, but ended up due to his divorce living in hotel accommodation. Norwich residents on the whole found the series quite funny, but there were a few people who thought that it portrayed the city in a negative light.
Norwich is a nice city and certain one that is worth visiting if you haven't already in 2010.
